Cristina Carrascosa

CEO, ATH21

Cristina Carrascosa (Valencia, 1987) is a lawyer specializing in tax and fiscal law. After beginning her career at prestigious international firms such as Broseta and Cuatrecasas, she discovered the potential of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, which led her to reorient her professional career toward the cryptoasset sector, despite the lack of regulation and initial skepticism.

Her international experience was consolidated in the Crypto Valley of Zug, Switzerland, where she delved into the legality of cryptoasset issuance. Upon returning to Valencia, she founded her own firm, ATH21, in 2021, which today has a team of 14 people and a turnover of nearly one million euros.

Cristina is currently the only Spaniard in the working group of the European Commission’s Blockchain Observatory and Forum, participating in the development of the MICA regulation. She is recognized as a leader in the regulation of digital assets and financial innovation in Europe.
