Alberto Iglesias is a journalist and deputy director of DISRUPTORES, a specialized platform published by EL ESPAÑOL. For the past 15 years, he has been covering the latest innovations in digital transformation for specialized outlets like Computerworld and TICbeat, as well as general and economic press such as Business Insider and El Mundo. He is the only Spanish journalist to have interviewed top global tech leaders (SAP, Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services) and Nobel laureates, along with notable CIOs and researchers from MIT, Stanford, and the Max Planck Institute.
Iglesias Fraga has been recognized with over a dozen national and international awards, including the 16th Accenture Journalism Award, the Internet Day Award for Best Personal Brand on Social Media, the European Digital Mindset Award, and the APTE awards for science and technology park outreach in 2019 and 2020. He has also been named multiple times as one of the leading influencers in startups and cybersecurity within the Spanish-speaking world.
He teaches artificial intelligence applied to journalism in the master’s program at Camilo José Cela University and serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Extremadura, UC3M, and Rey Juan Carlos University. He is a speaker on innovation and cutting-edge technologies for over 30 companies and trains corporate spokespeople for large multinational firms. Additionally, he acts as a judge in international competitions on innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
