Amador is the CEO of Lofith Composites and a seasoned business leader with over 15 years of experience working with and providing services to innovation-driven companies across diverse sectors, including biotech, aerospace, aero-wind, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Over the past 7 years, he has held executive roles where he developed and implemented strategic plans to drive organizational growth, guided by a mission-driven approach.
Before taking on the role of CEO at Lofith Composites he served as Business Development Director at Curapath, during his time at Curapath, Amador led the Boston commercial office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, within the MIT ecosystem, where he worked closely with cutting-edge technology startups and research institutions. This experience gave him valuable exposure to translating scientific innovations into market-ready solutions. As a strong believer in the translation of science to business, Amador played a critical role in fostering partnerships and collaborations that bridged the gap between scientific discovery and commercialization.
In addition to his executive leadership roles, Amador has been deeply involved in the venture capital ecosystem. He is an independent consultant in polymers and material science, collaborating with IT companies, food and beverage companies, and venture capital firms focused on deep tech innovations. His venture capital experience has also been instrumental in develop commercialization strategies.
Amador served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at AIMPLAS, where he transitioned from technical and scientific roles into executive leadership. He also held the position of Director of the Joint Research Unit UROPLAS, focusing on the use of polymeric materials for Drug Delivery and Regenerative Therapies in Urology (Fundación del Hospital General).
Amador holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a PhD in Organic Chemistry. In 2010, he was honored with the Plastic and Innovation Award.
