Amelie Binder is the Co-founder and CEO of CargoKite, a Munich-based deeptech startup developing the world’s first autonomous, wind-powered micro cargo ships. With a mission to decarbonize maritime logistics, she leads a 20-person international team and has raised over €7 million in funding, with the latest round led by Lowercarbon Capital.

Prior to CargoKite, Amelie spent over six years in ERP software and management consulting, supporting the founder and managing director of her family’s 40-person business. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in business operations, leadership, and strategic decision-making.

At CargoKite, Amelie focuses on fundraising, stakeholder management, and international expansion. She holds a degree in Software Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and brings a systems-thinking approach to her work. Outside of her professional life, she is a certified yoga teacher and passionate sports enthusiast.
