Juan brings over 15 years of experience in the energy sector to his role as Senior Investment Director at Net Zero Ventures since October 2022, where he also serves on the Investment Committee.

His professional journey began in 2009 at Repsol as a Corporate Social Responsibility Analyst before briefly working at Mazars Auditores. In 2011, he moved to Repsol’s Corporate Finance Department as an Exchange Rate and Liquidity Risk Analyst, gaining extensive experience in financial markets through currency hedging with derivatives and other corporate finance activities.

Since 2013, Juan was part of Repsol’s Investor Relations team, managing relationships with stakeholders including funds, analysts, and minority shareholders while deepening his understanding of the energy sector and its future challenges.

In 2017, Juan joined Repsol Corporate Venturing (RCV) fund, applying his financial expertise and sector knowledge to the project, leading to more than 25 investments and three divestments.

Education: BSc in Economics from the University of Zaragoza, MSc in Finance from London Metropolitan University (London). Juan is fluent in both English and Spanish.
