Previously, she was a consultant lawyer on European Union policies, international trade, and industrial property. She also served as an expert on designations of origin. She served as Director of Commerce at the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation of Alicante. She also served as Secretary General of ORIGEN ESPAÑA, the Spanish Association of Designations of Origin, and OriGIn, the Organization for an International Network of Geographical Indications. She also held other positions as a consultant, advisor, and international lawyer.
