VDS 2025 Official Aftermovie

VDS, one of Southern Europe’s leading tech events, reaffirms its economic impact and relevance in the innovation ecosystem. In 2023, it generated around €12.3 million for the Valencian Community and Spain. Additionally, this international event stands out for its influence in developing the innovation ecosystem: since 2018, startups that participated in VDS have secured more than $18.8 billion in funding.

A Platform for Startup Growth

Over the years, VDS has become a key platform for startups to connect with international investors and access vital resources for expansion. Each edition gathers hundreds of key global tech players, facilitating the meeting of capital and talent.

The success of these startups reflects the value the event provides. Some examples of successful emerging companies include Qonto, Cabify, and Glovo, which leveraged VDS’s opportunities to establish strategic connections and secure funding.

Attracting International Investors

In addition to its impact on startups, VDS has attracted the attention of more than 700 international investors, whose combined investment portfolios exceed $300 billion. This has consolidated Valencia as a global tech hub, increasing its ability to attract investment and promote the development of new tech initiatives.

The success of startups that have participated in VDS underscores its role as a launchpad for innovation, mobilizing both talent and capital in a short period. The tech event has enabled leading global entrepreneurs to access funding and collaboration opportunities that would otherwise be hard to reach.

VDS2024: The Innovation Ecosystem’s Meeting Point

The seventh edition of VDS will be held on October 23-24 at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. As every year, international tech leaders will attend to reflect on the current technological revolution and its positive societal impact.

Confirmed speakers include notable figures such as Steve Chen, co-founder of YouTube; Randi Zuckerberg, tech entrepreneur and former marketing director of Facebook; Juan Antonio Samaranch, member of the International Olympic Committee with extensive experience in innovation; Constantijn van Oranje, Prince of the Netherlands and Special Envoy for Techleap; and Diana Morant, Minister of Science, Innovation, and Universities.

More than 2,500 startups are expected to participate in this seventh edition, reaffirming VDS as a key event for the tech sector. Its ability to bring together leaders, investors, and emerging companies strengthens its role as a platform where strategic alliances are formed, and disruptive projects are driven forward.

Thus, VDS continues to establish itself as an essential annual event for professionals in technology and innovation. Additionally, it fosters Valencia’s growth as a global innovation ecosystem and a world reference point.
