Niklas Leck

Co-founder & Director, Penguin

Niklas Leck is the co-founder and director of the board at Penguin Group, South America’s largest high-performance compute data center group. Under his leadership, Penguin Group has raised $75M, grown to 200 employees, and achieved profitability, while running 500 young adults annually through Penguin Academy, its own full-stack coding schools. Penguin’s mission is to transform energy into human potential by building and operating electrical infrastructure and data centers for cloud, Bitcoin mining, and AI training, dedicating a significant share of profits to education.

Previously, Niklas co-founded LivingPackets, a French-German high-tech packaging startup, where he continues to serve on the board. During his studies in St. Gallen, Switzerland, he was president of START Global, responsible for START Summit—Europe’s largest early-stage startup conference—and for expanding the START Network internationally.

Niklas is also an active angel investor in venture capital funds and startups across energy, hardware, health, and education. He has been recognized as a DACH Top Talent Under 25, Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and Sigma Squared Society Fellow
