Joaquin Calvo holds a Master’s Degree in Particle Physics from RWTH Aachen University and brings over 15 years of professional experience as an IT Architect and technological strategist. He has managed technical development and strategic roadmaps for start-ups across Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, and Spain, focusing on innovative solutions in industrial process automation, remote inspections, and AI/AR implementation for QHSE processes.

As CTO of CYRACO GmbH, Joaquin designed the CYRACO platform from the ground up, launching its first prototype in 2020. This achievement secured a €2 million EIC Accelerator Grant from the European Commission, with CYRACO selected as one of only 38 startups out of more than 4000 applicants. The platform now leads in integrating Computer Vision and Augmented Reality to automate inspection and maintenance processes.

Joaquin leads R&D, product development, and strategic projects at CYRACO, including collaborations with major railway and logistics companies. He and his team work closely with operational departments to address challenges, enhance efficiency, and reduce workloads through advanced technological solutions.
