Lian Michelson is a co-Founding General Partner at Marvelous, a leading European early-stage VC fund focused on climate and industrial deeptech. At Marvelous, she drives investments in transformative technologies addressing global sustainability and industrial challenges. Her expertise in deeptech and climate innovation positions her as a key figure in the European venture capital landscape.

Prior to Marvelous, Lian served as a General Partner at Vala Capital, a UK impact VC fund, and as Managing Partner at the United Ocean Fund, a global blue economy fund. She has also founded a fashion tech marketplace and led the UK expansion of a European fintech company as UK CEO, demonstrating her entrepreneurial and operational acumen.

Lian is an active angel investor in over 25 companies and began her career as a Fixed Income trader at Morgan Stanley, managing billion-dollar portfolios. She holds a Master’s of Engineering in Computer Science and is recognized for her commitment to advancing deeptech and climate solutions.
