Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) is a neurological condition where the brain struggles to interpret sensory information, affecting around 200 million people globally. Individuals with SPD may be overly sensitive to stimuli like sound, light, or touch, often leading to social withdrawal and overlaps with conditions such as autism and attention deficit.
Orígenes addresses this challenge with two innovative wearable devices:
Monitoring Device: A discreet wearable that uses deep learning to predict sensory issues based on the user’s mental state and environment. It alerts users or caregivers and suggests personalized actions.
Interventional Device: Built on the monitoring system, this device actively modulates sensory input in real time—reducing noise or adjusting visuals—to prevent sensory overload and improve comfort and social interaction.
Together, these tools aim to enhance independence and quality of life for people with SPD.
