Raúl
is currently the CEO of Sybol. Previously, Raúl worked at Grant Thornton, where he joined in June 2018 as a Senior Manager in the Consulting division. In 2023, he was appointed Partner of Innovation and Technology Consulting at Grant Thornton, where he led the Digital Assets practice until his departure in April 2025.
During these years, Raúl was directly involved in managing the Blockchain & Crypto Lab, as well as in Innovation and Technology Security projects for large multinational organizations across sectors such as Banking, Insurance, and Energy (Oil & Gas). He led several of the most relevant blockchain consortia at the national level.
He complements his career with six years at Grupo Villar Mir, where Raúl served as Operations Manager at Espacio IT, the Group’s technology company, leading the Innovation area. In this role, he was responsible for the direct management of the entire IT & Innovation project portfolio for OHL Concesiones, Grupo Fertiberia, Grupo Ferroglobe, Torre Espacio Gestión, and Inmobiliaria Espacio—companies within the Holding—covering both national and international projects.
Additionally, Raúl has over five years of experience in IT consulting, including his tenure at EY, where he worked for more than two years as an Auditor and Consultant in the IT Risk and Assurance Department. There, he worked with clients such as Repsol, Telefónica, Siemens, and FCC, performing SOX and ISAE 3402 audits as well as strategic technology consulting projects, including system implementations in multiple countries.
Raúl holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and a Technical Degree in Management Computing from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, as well as a Master’s in Financial Management from UCJC. He is also a certified ISO 27001:2015 Lead Auditor.
He combines his professional work with teaching in Master’s programs and specialized Blockchain courses at prestigious universities and business schools such as IEB and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He also delivers executive training for top management teams and participates in industry events and media outlets (El Confidencial, Radio Intereconomía…).
