DESCRIPTION:Although\, after nearly three years of implementation\, the European Chips Act has\nproven to be a useful tool for boosting the European semiconductor sector\, many\nobjectives linked to a genuine European microchip strategy remain unmet. Through\nclose collaboration between the industry and the European Commission\, the\nproposed approval of a European Chips Act 2.0 is generating enormous interest\namong the main players in the sector. The possibility of designing a new legal and\nfinancial framework for the microchip sector opens up significant opportunities\, but\nalso risks repeating some of the mistakes of previous initiatives in this field.
