VDS 2025 Official Aftermovie

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is set to become the epicenter of innovation in the audiovisual and entertainment industry with the first edition of the ‘Next-Gen Audiovisual Forum‘. This forum, organized within the framework of VDS by Startup Valencia and GELLIFY, will take place on October 23rd and 24th, bringing together leading international experts, top corporations, and pioneering startups to discuss the latest technological trends transforming the industry.

The ‘Next-Gen Audiovisual Forum’, part of Spain’s Entrepreneurial Nation strategy, supported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism, the EOI Foundation, and the Department of Innovation, Industry, Trade, and Tourism of the Valencian Government, will offer a platform for analysis and discussion on the latest trends in audiovisual technology and entertainment. Participants will have the chance to dive deep into how the sector has evolved in recent years, explore new ways of content consumption, and discover some of the key trends shaping the future of the industry.

 

Key Themes and High-Level Speakers

The forum will feature over 50 top-tier national and international speakers who will share their expertise and insights on the most innovative areas of the sector. Notable confirmed speakers include Juan Antonio Samaranch, Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, who will offer his perspective on how the Olympic movement is driving urban transformation through technology, and Miguel Ángel Leal Góngora, Chief

Technology and Innovation Officer at La Liga, who will share how La Liga is using data to revolutionize the sports experience.

The forum will also feature key experts from leading companies in the industry, such as Toni Moreno, Head of Corporate Development at Mediaset Spain; Mikko Spoof, Founder of Advantage; Pilar Sánchez, Head of YouTube Content for YouTube Spain; María Carmen Fernández, Chief Innovation Officer at Mediapro GroupFermín Crespo, Director General of Ciudad de la Luz; Óscar Campillo, Director of Relevo; Elena Borroni, Head of Sponsorship Activation & Brand at RFEF; and Anthony Brown, Co-Founder of AMPD Ventures, among others.

Over two days, the Audiovisual Stage at VDS will host discussions on new content consumption methods, the impact of artificial intelligence on audiovisual production, automation, and new interactive user experiences. Some of the most relevant topics to be covered include the evolution of OTT platforms, new tech investment models focused on delivering hyper-personalized experiences, automation and personalization in content distribution, new formats and audiovisual production models, the role of data in media innovation, and the emergence of new digital ecosystems in stadiums, among other key issues.
