Alejandro Martí is CEO and Co-Founder of Mitiga Solutions, a deep tech company at the forefront of artificial intelligence, science, and supercomputing for quantifying and managing physical climate risks. Under his leadership, Mitiga has become a European leader in climate risk intelligence, supporting insurers, investors, and infrastructure operators to build resilience against natural hazards.

Alejandro holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from UPC and has studied Applied Physics, Mathematics, Climate Change, Business, and Entrepreneurship at Rutgers, Princeton, Cambridge, and ESADE. With over 15 years of experience, he has led the use of geospatial technology to measure climate impacts, collaborating with NASA, NOAA, Microsoft, and US government agencies.

He chairs the AI for Climate group at the United Nations (ITU) and serves on the industry council of the European Supercomputing Network (PRACE). Alejandro advocates for AI sovereignty rooted in climate resilience, transparency, and cross-sector collaboration, positioning Europe as a global leader in trustworthy, science-based AI for climate adaptation.
