Alex Holland is a seasoned leader with 25 years of experience across the digital, energy, and transportation sectors. Beginning his career as a software developer, he advanced through roles as solution architect and delivery lead, before focusing on energy transition and climate change innovation, particularly in transportation.

Based just outside London and holding both English and French nationality, Alex has led social innovation programs in intelligent rail infrastructure, EV fleet smart charging, shipping decarbonisation, and power plant optimisation. He has also served as a corporate venture lead and was a founding member of ZeroCarbon, an EV tech start-up within Hitachi.

Alex is passionate about transforming ports into green energy hubs by electrifying operations, integrating renewables, and advancing grid connections. He is committed to meeting the Fuel EU Maritime directive by 2030 and driving the shipping fuel transition to hydrogen and eFuels, while actively connecting with innovators and big-thinkers in the field.
