Ana Isabel Blanco

Professor of Procedural Law, University of Valencia

Dr. Blanco is a professor of procedural law. With a background in both law and business administration and management, she has a master’s degree in corporate law, stock exchanges and financial markets and ADRs, and she is a mediator and arbitrator.
Her research has focused on the study of the means of protection of bank consumers and financial investors, foreclosure proceedings, unfair terms and standard contracts, criminal liability of legal entities, artificial intelligence in justice and access to digital justice for the Elderly. These lines are completed with the study of ADR, especially mediation and arbitration. In this sense, she has been a member and later co-director of the Institutional Chair for the Culture of Mediation UV-GVA.
Likewise, in her career she has directed research projects on predictive justice in the precautionary guardianship and access to digital justice for the elderly, relying on international and interdisciplinary teams. Likewise, this internationalization of research is also reflected in the numerous research stays abroad (Switzerland, United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Uruguay, Sweden, Germany, South Korea, Chile and Colombia).
She has published a total of three monographs: the Financial Ombudsman; The subjects of arbitration; and Criminal liability of financial institutions, and more than thirty articles and book chapters, as well as a hundred contributions to scientific congresses.
