Director of Research and Studies, SpainCap
Ángela Alférez is currently Director of Research and Venture Capital at SpainCap, where she oversees the production of statistical information and publications, both independently and in collaboration with the Association. She is also responsible for promoting and developing ASCRI’s Venture Capital and Impact/ESG committee, and supports the Association’s Public Affairs initiatives.
She holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), and has completed advanced studies in structured finance, venture capital, and private equity at IE. Her professional experience includes roles at the Planning and Evaluation Office of the AECI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the L.R. Klein Institute for Economic Forecasting, the Economic and Social Council of the Community of Madrid, and as an Associate Professor at UAM.
Ángela is the author of numerous publications, including “El ecosistema tecnológico español: perspectivas locales e internacionales.” Her work highlights the dynamism of Spanish scaleups and the growing international presence of the country’s technology sector, supported by key public institutions such as ICEX, ENISA, CDTI, and SETT.
