Carlos is CEO and Co-Founder of SimZero, a deeptech startup enabling the adoption of machine learning–based fluid dynamics for Smart Cities and Industry 5.0. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, along with a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability. Carlos has held research positions at the Technical University of Munich and Universitat Jaume I, and conducted research stays at Imperial College London and Iowa State University. He also worked at IBM Research Europe as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Staff Scientist. His work focuses on facilitating the widespread adoption of CFD–machine learning models in digital twins, XR, and robotics, with applications from urban emergency planning to water treatment and manufacturing.
