Consuelo García

Vice-Rector for Teaching and Educational Innovation, Valencian International University (VIU)

Consuelo García, Doctor in Education and Technology, serves as Vice-Rector for Teaching and Educational Innovation at the International University of Valencia (VIU). She is also Deputy Academic Director of the University Institute of Postgraduate Studies and has directed several master’s and bachelor’s degree programs, including the Master’s in Educational Innovation. Her academic leadership is marked by the design and implementation of dynamic faculty development programs and transformative educational initiatives, many of which are fully online.

As a lecturer, Dr. García specializes in strategic management in education, guiding multidisciplinary teams to foster creativity, collaboration, and real-world impact. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences and an active member of scientific committees focused on education, technology, and innovation, contributing to the global dialogue on the future of higher education and social and technological change.

Dr. García believes that true educational innovation arises at the intersection of experimentation, evidence-based practice, and bold leadership. Her guiding principle is to put technology at the service of learning, driving pioneering projects that reimagine how students learn and how universities nurture talent for the digital age.
