Dominik Kirchdorfer is the Founder and CEO of Acute XR, a studio pioneering the use of games for mental health. His flagship project, Calm Quest, integrates VR gameplay with biofeedback to help children manage anxiety and stress.
Before founding Acute XR, Dominik worked in Brussels as an EU Affairs Adviser and editorial coordinator, spearheading digital strategies and representing Austria in European policy forums. He also established the European Future Forum, an NGO with a prize-winning online magazine and a 50-partner network.
Dominik’s path bridges business, politics, and creative arts: he holds an MBA from ESADE, studied at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and previously earned master’s degrees from the LSE and University of Glasgow. Alongside his entrepreneurial ventures, he has written a sci-fi novel, produced films, and released music, reflecting his passion for combining innovation and storytelling.
