Enric Claverol is a distinguished advisor to technology startups and a European Innovation Council (EIC) Ambassador, recognized for his leadership in advancing healthcare innovation. As former EIC Programme Manager for medical technologies and devices, he played a pivotal role in supporting European innovators, facilitating the translation of breakthrough medical solutions to clinical practice, and achieving milestones such as the EIC fund’s first successful exit with Sonio.ai’s acquisition by Samsung.

With a background in bioengineering, Enric began his career in academia, leading a research group at the Catalonia Bioengineering Institute. His scientific work focused on neuroscience, including animal-free drug discovery platforms, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and brain-neuron interfaces. He co-founded two spin-offs, Aleria Biodevices and Afferent Technologies, before transitioning to entrepreneurship and innovation management.

Enric’s expertise spans science-to-market strategies, startup growth, and financing, with a commitment to patient-centered healthcare solutions. As former Director General of the Catalonia Research and Innovation Foundation, he championed entrepreneurial careers and public-private collaboration, and continues to inspire the next generation of European innovators.
