Felipe Javier Carrasco has developed a distinguished career in the textile and industrial innovation sectors, currently serving as Secretary of Industry, Commerce, and Consumption for the Regional Government. As Director of Innovation at the National Textile Association (Consejo Intertextil Español) and member of the CEOE, he has been instrumental in advancing Spain’s textile industry, aligning it with European standards for sustainability and smart textiles.

At the European level, Carrasco coordinates interregional cooperation within EURATEX and is recognized for his expertise in smart textiles and innovation. He has been a featured speaker at major international conferences, including events organized by the European Commission, such as the European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing and the Innovation Procurement Workshop in Oxford.

Carrasco’s leadership extends to supporting SMEs and clusters through European programs like COSME and “Grow Your Region.” He has organized and participated in key industry conventions, notably the European Textile Industry Convention in Valencia, demonstrating his commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation across both public and private sectors.
