Joan Aymerich is an engineer and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing industrial safety and health through deep-tech innovation. As CEO and Co-founder of NASO-SHIELD, he leads the development of ergonomic, sustainable, and certifiable respiratory-protection technologies, focusing on human-centered design and comfort to drive workplace safety adoption.
Graduated in Industrial Technologies Engineering from UPC-ETSEIB, Joan directed the full design and validation of the NASO-SHIELD prototype, a modular, reusable intranasal filtration system aimed at redefining personal protective equipment in high-pollution environments. His expertise spans materials engineering, additive manufacturing, and European PPE standards.
Joan collaborates with European manufacturers and research centers to bring NASO-SHIELD from prototype to market validation. Recognized as a Next Frontier Founders 2025 participant and Santander X Spain Awards finalist, he is committed to bridging deep-tech innovation and industrial adoption, promoting sustainable production, and building partnerships to accelerate market entry.
