Project manager & Co-founder, Haptika
Jordi Puig Prujà has been fascinated by robotics and driven by a desire to help people since childhood. He combined these passions by creating 3D-printed prosthetics, building his first bionic hand at 16. At university, he joined an international prosthetics competition, which deepened his understanding of the field and inspired him to address the sensory and functional challenges faced by prosthesis users.
As the founder of Haptika, Jordi is the national winner of the James Dyson Award 2025 (Spain) and winner of the PRIMER acceleration program by the Government of Catalonia. He has over four years of experience developing medical and rehabilitation devices in collaboration with prosthetic users, clinicians, and engineers.
With a background in product design and biomedical engineering, Jordi specializes in user-centered solutions that combine technology, functionality, and comfort. At VDS 2025, he will present Haptika through a pitch for the Santander X Award University, aiming to enhance rehabilitation and daily life for prosthesis users.
