Jose Luis Elejalde holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in Energy Techniques from the ETSII in Bilbao, and an MBA from the University of the Basque Country and another from the CEREM Business School in Madrid. He currently heads Tecnalia’s Energy, Climate and Urban Transition Unit, leading a team of 450 people and managing activities in construction, energy and the environment, with a turnover of 45 million euros.

His career at Tecnalia includes the management of the Technological Services Division, with 210 professionals and six business areas, as well as the management of investee companies. He has held positions of responsibility in the areas of construction, technical services and the development of new business opportunities, with a special focus on internationalisation and the valorisation of technological assets.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated solid experience in team leadership, business development and strategic management, actively contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through the promotion of technologies and services aimed at sustainability and energy transition.
