Juan José Cortés holds a degree in Law from the University of Alicante, an MBA from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Diploma of Advanced Specialisation in Legal Tech from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has been responsible for the Compliance and New Technologies Area at Devesa & Calvo Abogados, as well as Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer certified by Wolters Kluwers.

His teaching experience includes the role of associate professor at the University of Alicante and various business schools, as well as teaching the Master’s Degree in Digital Society Law. His cross-disciplinary and entrepreneurial vision allows him to connect effectively with business organisations, and he also stands out as an entrepreneur in the renewable energy and blockchain sectors.

Juan José Cortés is currently Director General of Innovation at the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Valencian Regional Government. He has moderated the Inaugural Round Table on aeronautics, space and drones for the prevention and management of natural disasters, consolidating his profile in public administration and technological innovation.
