Juan M. Pérez is the CEO and co-founder of Finboot, the dynamic company behind MARCO, a unique blockchain agnostic, enterprise grade SaaS product.
He received his MSc. in Telecommunications engineering in 2013 from the Barcelona Tech University and his PhD in Photonics from the Institute of Photonic Sciences. His research included areas such as semiconductor technologies, image sensor devices and material engineering. His scientific research was always innovation driven, focusing in technology transfer and technology asset management. Part of his role included looking for the best strategies to validate their technology with early adopters and the best means of protection and future monetization of such technology. He became the author of multiple peer-reviewed scientific publications and inventor of 2 patents.
In 2016 he went on to pursue an entrepreneurial career in digital technologies. He became the founder of Finboot, the company behind MARCO, an enterprise software product that has been validated in multiple sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Logistics and Consumer goods. As the CEO and co-founder of Finboot, Juan M. has built and now leads a team of more than 10 members, consisting of dedicated departments for technology and business development. He has help Finboot raise more than € 1.5M from both private and public funding. He has also secured commercial deals with large enterprises and SMEs for the use of MARCO in proof of concepts, pilots and industrial full-scale deployments of enterprise blockchain applications.
He is currently focusing on the commercial scaling of MARCO as Finboot continues to progress on their technology roadmap, making blockchain technology more accessible in industrial ecosystem.
