Linda Hong Cheng

Founder & CEO, Lychee Labs

Linda Hong Cheng is the BBC-featured Founder & CEO of Lychee Labs, an Oxford-born AI lab building adaptive intelligence for the world’s most complex, high-stakes environments. A Clarendon Scholar & AI researcher at Oxford and WEAI Fellow at Columbia University, she works at the intersection of adaptive cognition, complex systems, and applied machine learning, with a focus on how AI moves beyond static prediction into mission-critical industrial decision-making under uncertainty. Her publications and research span complex systems, novel applications of machine learning, decolonizing computational methods, and critical analysis of sociotechnical systems—as published in ICLR, the Oxford Handbook, Mobilization, ic2s2, and more. Previously trained in computational methods and applied machine learning at Columbia University, Linda brings a uniquely cross-disciplinary lens to frontier AI—combining visionary systems thinking, scientific depth, and elite academic rigor to reimagine how intelligence can transform the physical world.
