Manal Belaouane grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, and spent her childhood between Switzerland and Algeria. The blend of these two distinct cultures profoundly influenced her, allowing her to combine Swiss efficiency with Algerian warmth and vibrancy. Her upbringing instilled in her a unique perspective, fostering a deep appreciation for diversity and adaptability.

Driven by curiosity, Manal pursued new cultures and ideas, living abroad and mastering foreign languages. She earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of St. Gallen, specializing in Business Administration and International Affairs. Her academic journey included an exchange semester at Harvard University, where she co-founded Stellar Analytics, marking her first entrepreneurial venture.

Manal’s professional path began at Accenture Strategy, where she developed a passion for technology. This passion led her to establish Upmote, a B2B mental health solution, during the challenging Covid-19 period. She later joined Gorillas, contributing to revenue growth strategies. Outside of work, Manal enjoys yoga and spending time with friends. As a Principal at HV Ventures, she invests in pre-seed to Series A companies, supporting innovative startups.
