Senior scientist with wide experience in scientific and technical project management; Ph.D. in physics (climate), and more than 25-years’ experience as ocean circulation and atmospheric modeler; developer and responsible of different operational oceanographic and climate services at regional and coastal/local scales.
Activity as researcher in oceanography, ocean-atmosphere exchanges and climate science. Authorship in more than 50 scientific peer-reviewed papers (in more than 20 as first author). Participation in more than 30 R&D Projects/Contracts at national and European level (in several as IP, coordinator or responsible).
In the context of the EC Copernicus Marine Service:
Leader element (today deputy) of the regional service for the European Atlantic façade: the IBI-MFC (Iberia-Biscay-Ireland Monitoring and Forecasting Centre).
Former Copernicus Marine Product Quality Coordinator.
Activity in the service for more than 10 years as model developer, operational/service manager and scientist expert.
