Maria Juesas is an accomplished venture capital professional with over 13 years of experience in alternative investments. She has held leadership roles at VSquared and Pragma, where she directed venture capital and co-investment strategies for a Family Office. Previously, she was Principal at Promus Ventures, focusing on deep tech, and began her VC career at Banco Sabadell Corporate Venture Capital, specializing in M&A and minority investments in Fintech and Insurtech.

Her career foundation was built in the hedge fund industry, with six years in global macro and long/short energy and infrastructure funds. Maria has worked in major financial centers including New York, London, and Madrid, and has served as a strategic and part-time CFO for the EU subsidiary of a US defense company. She is also an active operating partner, advising companies through scaling and special situations, and supports early-stage ventures as an angel investor.

Maria holds a BA from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from Imperial College Business School and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, specializing in entrepreneurship and innovation.
