Born, raised and educated in Uganda, Mark is passionate about solving critical challenges that impact him, you and the planet. He’s driven to create an impact for farmers and he’s aim behind founding Nampya Farmers Market is to provide a holistic approach to ending poverty in Africa farmers. Under Nampya Farmers Market, Mark is proud to work with farmers and help them create meaningful impact in their lives.
Mark was featured in the 2018 Ashoka Changemakers, in the 2019 UNCTAD-Alibaba eFounder Fellows, in the 2020 SOMET Afrique-France Laurette, and has received awards in different categories on the 2022 IEEE Connecting the Unconnected Challenge, 2021 UNDP SDG Impact Challenge, the 2021 Land Accelerator program of the World Resources Institute and is among the 2023 100 Meaningful Business leaders combining profit and purpose as per the EY, Hogan Lovells, Gibson College and United Nations. Mark is a 2025 Halcyon Africa Food and Climate Fellow and has also been selected to be part of the +1 Global Food Security Network by the Roddenberry, Sall Family, Schooner, Shockwave, and Tarsadia Foundations.
