Pepe Borrás is a strategist and venture builder recognized for his pioneering work at the intersection of technology, society, and branding. With a career spanning startups, tech for good, and global innovation, he has collaborated with organizations such as Google, Meta, Twitter, Mozilla, and the U.S. Department of State to advance open technology and scale impactful ventures. His achievements have been featured in WIRED, The Washington Post, Ad Age, and El País.

As founder of the Internet Freedom Festival, Borrás established Valencia as the “Digital Rights World Capital,” uniting innovators from over 140 countries. He has led multidisciplinary teams as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at NetFreedom Pioneers, delivering technology solutions in challenging markets, and has served on the Advisory Council of the Open Technology Fund.

Borrás’s contributions have earned him the 2023 Trailblazer Democracy Award from the National Endowment for Democracy and a 2024 IE EPIC Award shortlist. Based in New York City, he holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School and Brown University, and is recognized as a visionary leader in digital rights and innovation.
