“Roman Orús is a renowned quantum physicist, Ikerbasque Research Professor at DIPC, and visiting professor at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He has held positions at Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz, University of Queensland, Max Planck Institute, CNRS, and was a Marie Curie IIF fellow. Orús has received the Early Career Prize from the European Physical Society and is a prolific author of highly-cited papers on quantum physics and computation.

He serves on the Steering Board of Quantum Journal and is a partner at Entanglement Partners. As ex-president of GEIC in the RSEF, Orús has contributed significantly to the scientific community, advancing the understanding of quantum software and its practical applications in finance, energy, and industry.

As Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Multiverse Computing, Orús leads efforts to bridge quantum technologies with real-world solutions. His work emphasizes the evolution of distributed models balancing cloud and edge computing, and the development of sustainable AI through model compression and optimized algorithms, addressing both climate and business challenges.”
