Deputy General Manager, Valenciaport Foundation
Salvador Furió holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a Master of Science in Ports Management and Intermodal Transport from Comillas University (ICADE). He began his career as Project Director at LOGISTA, Spain’s leading logistics operator, before joining the Valenciaport Foundation in 2004 as Director of Logistics and Intermodality.
Throughout his career, Furió has led and participated in numerous national and international projects focused on container logistics, maritime, rail and intermodal transport, trade facilitation, logistics platform design, and environmental management. In 2019, he became Director of Innovation and Port Cluster Development at the Valenciaport Foundation, coordinating digital transformation, sustainability, port logistics, and market intelligence.
Since July 2023, Furió serves as Deputy General Manager of the Valenciaport Foundation. He is a member of the Executive Group of the ALICE European Technology Platform, chairing the Hubs, Corridors and Synchromodality working group. He is recognized for fostering collaborative innovation, leading cross-functional teams, and advancing industry standards in the port and logistics sector.
