Sonia Fernandez is a Partner at Kibo Ventures, where she has led investments in edtech, health tech, AI, media, and mobility since 2016. With over 20 years of experience in digital business leadership, Sonia brings deep expertise to the startup ecosystem, serving as a board member at Qida, Innovamat, Pandago, and Acurable, and as a board observer at Odilo, Evernest, and Belvo.

Previously, Sonia was an entrepreneur at MercadoLibre and managed digital businesses at Match.com and Specific Media. She began her career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers in London and New York, building a strong foundation in finance and strategy.

Sonia holds a BA in Business from ICADE (Spain) and an MBA from Stanford, where she received the Stanford Associate Award. She is a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA), has published two books on networking, chairs Level20 Spain, and is a member of the International Women’s Forum.
