Thomas Parry is the founder and CEO of SPHERICAL, a company pioneering sovereign silicon platforms for Europe, delivering system-accelerated microchips for space and critical industries. With a vision for European leadership in strategic microchip design and the associated value chain, he drives innovation and resilience in advanced semiconductor technologies.

Parry began his career at Clyde Space, where he designed power and communication systems for NASA, ESA, and NewSpace leaders such as Spire and Kepler. At SystematIC, he specialized in ASIC design, contributing to ESA’s first all-digital sunsensor and leading novel chip projects for start-ups, including test and integration for a power system used in Facebook’s satellite.

Beyond industry roles, Parry has been instrumental in advancing the open-source silicon ecosystem, notably creating the world’s first open-source radio transceiver microchip project. He has represented the community at leading forums, including IEEE ISSCC, championing open innovation and European technological sovereignty.
