Angel Alberich-Bayarri is the CEO and founder of Quibim, a global company specializing in the design and development of pioneering tools that combine advanced medical imaging analysis and AI to achieve more precise diagnoses and tailored treatments. His latest solutions have focused on cancer detection and prediction. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. An inventor of six patents, he has received numerous international awards for his innovative career, including being named one of MIT’s Innovators Under 35. With 15 years of experience in medical imaging and computer vision, Angel has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in diagnostics and drug development. Previously, he served as the Corporate Director of Biomedical Engineering at Quirónsalud and the Scientific-Technical Director of the Biomedical Imaging Research Group at La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital. He has authored over 100 articles in prestigious international journals and is a sought-after speaker at leading international conferences. In the social sphere, he is a trustee of the Conexus Foundation and the founder of the Imaging Foundation, among other initiatives promoting knowledge and science.
