Guy Haug, a bi-national French-German expert, holds a Doctorate in Political Science, as well as Master’s degrees in Management Science and International Law. He has lived and worked in Brussels, Paris, and Valencia, collaborating with higher education institutions and governmental policymakers worldwide. His work focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to reduce student drop-out and failure rates.

As one of the original designers of the ERASMUS programme and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), Guy Haug has played a pivotal role in shaping international academic cooperation. He is also the co-creator of a highly successful, large-scale multilateral programme in international management, connecting universities across Europe, North and Latin America, and Asia.

Guy Haug is the founding partner of Mavericks Advancing Higher Education, a consultancy specialising in strategic and international issues at the intersection of higher education, business, regions, and society. His leadership continues to inspire innovation and collaboration in the global higher education landscape.
